Electric 80’s Night at P60 in Amstelveen: A Celebration of Art and Music

On February 20, 2025, P60 in Amstelveen hosted an unforgettable evening themed “Electric 80’s.” The event showcased the vibrant art of Jerry Charlton Meije, also known as Jerry Amsterdam, alongside a thrilling musical performance that transported attendees back to the iconic decade.

Art Exhibition by Jerry Amsterdam

Jerry Amsterdam, renowned for his linocuts, monoprints, and woodcuts, has previously exhibited his work in notable Amsterdam venues such as De Balie, Café Homeland, and Café de Koe. His latest exhibition at P60 continued to captivate audiences with his unique and expressive art style.

Electric 80’s Musical Extravaganza

The musical highlight of the evening was a performance by the P60 band, featuring:

  • Danley on vocals

  • Ricky and Teun on guitar

  • Tobias on electric bass

  • Jerry on semi-acoustic bass

  • Romar on synth piano

The band delivered a nostalgic 80’s vibe, culminating in a spectacular rendition of the Eurythmics’ hit “Sweat Dreams.” DJ Robi kept the energy high with a selection of classic 80’s tunes.

The styling for the event was masterfully handled by the Vandal Vogue team, consisting of Zoë, Jasmijn, and Veerle. Their creative vision brought an authentic 80’s flair to the evening, enhancing the overall atmosphere.
